Vermont Artist Jacqueline Evans, uses bold colors and hand drawn shapes to illuminate another world, peeking out behind a veil of textures.
Using oil and cold wax as an anchor to her work, she begins with graphite, then defines. The viewer will note hints of her mark making intermingled in the works enhanced by the transparency of her pallet.
Her true love of “things left behind” drives her passion for patterns, colors and textures, where, within organic shapes, she blends these to build a visual experience, and lure the viewer into the work.
